Firefighter
Respond to emergency incidents, fight fires, mitigate hazardous material incidents, rescue trapped persons in confined spaces, and administer basic life support (BLS) treatment.
EMT
Provide basic clinical, life support and/or emergency care to guests and associates including wound care, removing splinters and basic health evaluations.
Support / Administration
Provide non-operational support for the department, such as computer/IT support, public relations, photography, maintenance, community education and administrative roles.
Junior Member Program
(ages 14 -17): Learn about local fire, rescue, and emergency medical services response organizations in a safe, controlled, enviroment.
Who We Are
The Cumberland Valley Hose Company is the Shippensburg Area’s Premier Truck Company. We operate a Ladder Truck, Air Unit, and Utility as first responders with Vigilant Hose Company No.1. We are a progressive fire department actively recruiting all types of members to serve and protect our growing community.

We are committed to life and safety. The most effective way to prevent fire and injury is education. We visit schools, businesses, homes and hold public events to share safety knowledge. Cumberland Valley Hose Company #2 is proud to offer many free programs to our citizens.
